Our mission for Harrison Trimble High School, as a total learning centre, is to empower all students to achieve their potential as well-rounded individuals, in a secure enviroment, preparing them in TRUE TROJAN SPIRIT, for our ever-changing world.

Homeroom Teachers will contact student's home regarding class absences. Students are required to bring excuses for all missed classes to homeroom within 3 days of returning from the initial date of the first absence. Failure to provide an excuse after 3 days will result in a report to administration for skipping classes. Please note, for the purposes of attendance all homeroom periods are treated as classes and require written excuses for any absences.

The student will also be referred by the homeroom teacher to administration who will meet with the student and a letter will be sent home regarding the student's increasing number of absences.

A second letter will be sent to the parent or guardian of the student (or to students themselves if they are living on their own) stating that the student has missed 15 days. At this point, teachers are no longer required to provide make-up tests or assignments for these students or provide them with extra help to catch up for the time they have missed. At the discretion of the administration, students may also be barred from participating in school sport programs and other school activities.
